Azkals 05/30/2011

I was never a fan of basketball. All my friends knew that. I'm a frustrated football star :D A dream that is no way near from realization, specially now that my bones are showing signs of wear and tear. I may have given up playing decades ago but the love for the sport was still there.

It got me excited when I learned that I'll be shooting the Azkals for a mag cover, I have to admit that. For the longest time, we finally have a decent team who has a shot at the big leagues The least we could do is give them support. Yes, they may still have a lot to prove, but with the rate they're going, I believe they'll continue to make the Philippines known to the football world.

This post is long overdue. I had the honor to take the portrait of Sen. Pia Cayetano for HealthToday Magazine's May 2011 cover. I admire her passion and how she manages to juggle humongous tasks and still stay fit.

I'll be updating this post soon to include some of my fav outtakes.

Simple, intimate, no pretensions ... As the sister of the groom perfectly describes, it's a "wonderfully meaningful event."

Here's a cover shot to jump start the year. Looking forward to a productive 2011.

To the moms out there, grab a copy of the latest edition of MOMStoday. You'll surely find it a good read ... full of useful and practical information.

This is one of the engagement shoots that I will never forget. I almost lost a flash when it fell into the sea, but it survived. Whew!

Khaye, my wife, was with me and she contributed a lot of concepts and shot ideas for this shoot. A bit late, taken early this year, but I do believe it deserves to get posted. Here are the photos that landed on the guestbook.

What's the best thing to do on a Sunday when you're not shooting weddings? Shoot weddings!

JE Taca of Luminosi Studio asked me if I wanted to shoot for his studio 'cause his partner is out of the country. I thought it would be nice to have a break from the frenetic shooting schedule that commenced sine the"ber" months started, but, I felt the itch on my trigger finger. So, I just decided that while I'm having my Sunday rest, I'll shoot a wedding :D
